IPL Hair removal is a treatment based on pulsed light targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle causing thermal damage to the hair growth cells without harming normal skin. Each treatment reduces the number and size of hair follicles in the area until you reach the desired end result. It can treat any part of the body and without down time!
IPL Hair removal can be performed on most skin types. However, individuals with blond, red or gray hair will not respond to this treatment, due to the absence of dark pigment in their hair follicles.
The procedure usually takes from 10 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the size of the treated area.
The number of treatments will vary, depending on your skin type and area to be treated. Six to ten treatments may be necessary.
